Good to hear about the steering feel not being reduced, I have to ask though, is it not possible to keep the system hydraulic?
My first guess would have been to refurbish the pumps, but I know this isn't possible for whatever reason - curious as to the reason why though.
Technically it is still hydraulic?
Since the solution mentions a 'reservoir' I read this as retaining a hydraulically assisted rack, but with the hydraulic pressure provided by an electric pump rather than a belt-driven pump. Maybe I read this wrong, but it sounds like an elegant solution.
