Same here. The secret with the triming is to take your time. Many small cuts and trial fits.


Thanks Martin, I have also come to the same conclusion. I laid out the wings on the garage floor yesterday, and quickly realised that it's practically impossible to get accurate measurements of the exact width of the wing to transfer from one to the other.

There's just too much variation possible in how one measures across the curves and angles, I did it 3 times and still couldn't get a consistent measurement to within 3 or 4mm.

The next plan therefore is to fit the wing to the car as you say by incremental small cuts rather than try to duplicate the existing shape - unless anyone has got any cunning schemes I haven't thought of?
