A rear tyre puncture can be a major headache on a long trip (or any trip for that matter). Add a puncture prevention fluid to the tyre. In the UK I use
this OKO brand but I'm not sure it's available in the US.
This goopy stuff is NOT to be confused with the aerosol type that you squirt in AFTER you get a puncture.
