I had one as a courtesy car a couple of times. I usually drive a Disco 4. I enjoyed the Evoque but did not do enough miles to find the issues mentioned above - either that or my relaxed (in an Auto) driving style did not find them.
One thing to watch - if you regularly carry smaller passengers in the back, the very high waist line may be an issue.
