My car never had a one shot oiler the later cars have a grease nipple at the top of the suspension instead.
I gather that if you want to get rid of the one shot oiler the thing is to replace the pipe at the oiler pump with a ball bearing which seals the outlet, remove the pipes and replace the fitting on the top of the suspension with a nipple. I gather though that there are many views as to what the lubricant should be for these cars which have been so changed!!
