The above link suggests that vehicles built between January 1960 and January 1977 need an MOT. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/sy...ge-guidance.pdf However this link says that vehicles over 40 year old will be exempt from MOT and the owner will claim exemption when renewing vehicle tax. It's all as clear as mud! Both links are correct, the first is correct until the latter comes into force on 20 May 2018
