I can see Cain's point of view, but as a fact all the rad-changed cars that I know of does not have a protective valance - for what it is worth. Anyhow, my first task will be to see if my rad is provided with brass or plastic tanks. If plastic, it will be changed, if brass, I will have to see if there is a posibility of soldering before I order a new one. If I change rad, most likely a valance will be fitted in due time. Seems that I have a little research project coming up. So far, thanks to everybody that has been involved.
