An interesting parallel is the issue Vauxhall faced with the Zafira catching fire, for which they are now facing criminal investigation for failing to respond adequately.

230,000 model B Zafira's were produced between 2005 and 2014 of which 161 caught fire. This gives a failure rate of 0.07 %.

I understand that in 2013 782 M3W's were produced of which Roger is aware of 7 having failed. 7 out of 782 would give a failure rate of 0.89% which is more than 10 times the failure rate of the Zafira. It is reasonable to assume that Roger can't be the fountain of all knowledge relating to vehicles which have failed and therefore there must be more.

My 2013 car is coming back from the dealer tomorrow having had an oil leak fixed. I will be looking very closely.
