There is an added complication in France - some motorists do flash to warn of speed traps (or sometimes random breath tests). But quite often they flash at Morgans just to say "Nice car".
Of course the speed limit on normal roads was reduced last year to 80 kph - though I understand that a couple of Departments declined to go along with this - and one did change their limit - from 90 kph to 100 kph!
