I`m afraid that I would not flash to warn other road users - the old sign used to be to tug at the back of your collar to warn that you may have your collar felt. However, I think that I am the odd one out here, in that I approve of speed cameras as speed limits generally are there for a reason and anyone caught exceeding these limits have only themselves to blame. We all make mistakes from time to time - but surely we should be mature enough to hold up our hands and admit fault - even if it is that of not being vigilant enough to spot a speed-limit sign. I have had several close calls as a driver and pedestrian with drivers who think that the rules of the road only apply to others and not them. I enjoy driving fast and pushing the limits of my Mog - but do it on a track or sprint taster day - expensive- yes - but probably cheaper than a fine or living with the guilt of having damaged someone. I was told when I learned to drive that a truly skilled driver is one who knows and adheres to the rules of the road and have held to that principle for the last fifty years or so, priding myself on a full, clean licence.
I await the subsequent abuse!
