It’s okay Howard, I’m not perfect either!
There is a situation where I will willingly exceed the speed limit and I often wish others would too. If I’m overtaking on the open road, I’ll do it as quickly as is safe and with no regard to the limit. This also applies to dual carriage ways, I’ll speed past a slower car and then resume my cruise in the left hand lane.
Sitting in the overtaking lane, hanging alongside the other guy isn’t as safe as getting out of his way, you’re blocking his choice to move across should there be a pothole or debis. More often than not, I’ve seen the same pencil neck driver block a chap from overtaking a slow vehicle or prevent him from moving over for a vehicle entering from the left sliproads.
