I too remember those "old days" but they were a good few years ago. On my first visit there was one man who drove every newly made car and came back and adjusted the carbs etc. He offered to take me out. I queried the legality on trade plates and he just laughed and off we went. It was a great sales technique. After the ride I knew I had to have one, although it took a few more years to get my first. It was a much more homely feeling then. Not that that is necessarily a good thing. It is certainly a more informative tour nowadays than when I used to wander around. And presumably the staff aren't now constantly slowed up answering questions. Must be better now really. Nick
