Felling forests to plant palm oil trees reduces biodiversity but surely palms consume C02, and since a lot of it is converted to oil I must assume they do so reasonably efficiently.

I have absolutely no complaints about the use of palm oil provided it does not involve undue exploitation which does seem to be a problem.
