Not for environmental as much as an economic method. I purchased 20 acres of redwood and fir forest close to a ridgetop at 1200 ft elevation with a view of about 35 miles of coastline and its associated cities. I figured if I lived there and not pay rent to a landlord somewhere else I would be putting my money into something that would do nothing but go up in value. Also everyday I lived there electricity was getting closer down the road on which I lived and when it got within proximity to make it financially viable then I could hook up if I desired. The retirement plan worked and produced enough monies to move closer to healthcare when I needed it. That plan worked as well :-)

Since moving into a city my blood pressure has risen...
