Luckily it happened outside of the headoffice of Motorway Incident group!
As usual several people came from the offices to have a gander at the car. One of these people was an incident officer who had spare petrol in his emergency response vehicle. Brilliant.
Gauge was at 6% but had been there a while. Odometer was at 200 ish km. However yesterday we spent a long time stuck on motorway idling along. Even so, would have thought there was a few miles togo!!
It is possible that reset of trip meter was not done at last fill?? ( age related memory issues?)
So, emergency fill of 5 litres and fill of 30 litres. That is the most I have ever had .
Memo to self, make sure the trip meter is zero'd properly
