The wheel nuts on my +4 are far too tight to undo using the spanner supplied with the car (and yes I have noted the undo direction arrow). I can only think the hub nut tightens as the wheels turn or the mechanic who fitted the wheels was on steroids. I noticed in the March Miscellany that Ledgerwood advertise a “hub nut remover” so I guess I can’t be the first with this problem, if someone has already gone to the trouble of making a “special tool” for the job. However, before doing something stupid like lashing out £93.00 for the tool and a further £17.50 for the knuckle bar, has anyone any similar experience with tight nuts they might like to pass on. My wife has suggested the use of boxers but to no avail. If I do manage to get the blessed things undone, are there any recommendations for re-installation, perhaps the use of an anti-seize compound?
