That's the problem with local Trading Standards offices these days. You can't even complain directly to them any more, you have to go via Citizens' Advice first and they will pass your issue on after vetting it, with the proviso that it may be a long time before you hear anything ... if ever. I have one in against Vodafone but I've no way of checking the progress.
The
Advertising Standards Authority are a better bet for a service doesn't live up to its claims. I notice that We Buy Any Car Ltd. has already had four claims upheld against it for misleading advertising, including the fact that they disguise their admin fee. Complaining to the ASA is relatively straightforward so if I were the OP I would give it a go. Unfortunately, the ASA has no powers to levy fines but they can make sure misleading adverts aren't repeated. It would be interesting to hear their views on a misleading company name.
