I have driven a Dino myself. It was very (wonderfully!) noisy; the controls were heavy; the dogleg first gear took a little getting used to; the synchromesh was easily beaten requiring a double declutch going up the gearbox as well as down; the driving position couldn't be adjusted; the cabin got very hot and fumes from the engine often wafted in.
Personally it the most exhilarating drive I've ever had but judging by his views on the +8 I can't see that Telegraph journo getting on with one at all. I look forward to reading his report when it eventually gets fixed. (Interestingly, the one I drove was also unavailable on the original hire day due to mechanical failure.)
