I cannot get in or out of my 3W without removing the steering wheel.
When I think the wheel is fully engaged on the shaft, I give it a good tug... twice.
Once, giving it the "safety tug", it came off. I had not fully engaged it.
Once properly engaged, it's not going to come off by itself.
