Simple little examples suffice: mild steel screws when brass should be used; very poor finishing of things such as edges etc when it is quite obvious that a madman with a tin snips has been let loose; truly dreadful hoses
Your comments are distressing, and cause me to wonder what to expect with regard to my 3W's build quality. Morgans are too costly to have the sorts of problems you mentioned, and such comments are contrary to the perception of an exclusive hand-built brand. GLLHG, do you have an older Morgan, maybe? Could quality have improved in recent years? When my 3W arrives, I'll be 100 miles from the closest dealer, and would be extremely disappointed by shoddy/sloppy build quality. What do you mean by "truly dreadful hoses?" What other quality flaws should one routinely expect to encounter? Do others concur with your assessments? Please be candid, since this represents a significant purchase for me – thank you!

I don't think you should be overly- concerned about my 'gripes' as they might apply across the board. As many posters on this site will confirm, ( Boshly, where are you?) I have a personal niggle about this stuff which probably isn't replicated by others.
My car is a 2000 4/4 and when I bought it I went for it -rather than a Roadster- because I knew that on a personal level there would be things I wanted to upgrade, so I reduced my initial purchase budget accordingly
I think the imporant thing to grasp is that - certainly so far as the trads are concerned- the cars are built down to a budget( as they have to be with small volume production) so a certain amount of 'borrowing' of parts from other sources is inevitable)
In terms of hoses, I can only speak of my own 4/4 but the 'set' I had were a mixture of things and the overall effect was pretty cr*ppy
Probably the biggest 'plus' is thst the factory are very obliging in terms of sorting out any faults new car owners have. So, as I said, don't be overly put off by my moans
