The reason this didn't work is that the link you pasted in has got loads of extraneous information after the filename of the image. Remember I said that the filename ends in'.jpg'? Well, that bit occurs in the first third of the link. Then it's followed by a questionmark and then loads of indexing information, it looks like the hosting site you used has a fancy way of categorising information.
This is where you would need to consult the user manual of the particular hosting site to extract the proper image link.
