In 15 or 20 years I will trade my worthless Morgan in for an electric pavement scooter. I reckon I will have had my moneys worth out of it by then and it will owe me nothing.
Until then I will enjoy it whilst I can

Yep. It's an extraordinary privilege to be able to enjoy driving our cars and I'm going to hang on to mine as long as I can afford it, but I have no concerns about switching to an EV when the time comes.
No problems in changing to EV either. I'd change now but there is nothing really viable that is affordable for the long distance driving that I do. In 5 years time maybe there will be but at the moment EVs are a very small percentage of new cars sold and 10 or 15 years is a long time and I think there will still be ICE around in 15 or 20 years time even if with use restrictions.
After 15 or 20 years my driving days may well be over if I'm lucky enough to be still her. Then it will be the Electric pavement scooter for me.
In fact pavement scooters will be very exciting because the demise of the city centre shops will mean that we will have many thousands of pavement scooters with racetracks around city centre pavements
