Heavens no! For any manufacturer, retro-upgrading of this nature (power enhancement) is thought to hurt new product sales.
Even with the smaller things, the aftermarket always leads, with the company following a bit later. Non-rusting kingpins, steering bearings, easy-up tops, lower line luggage racks, colored wing beading, 4 pot braking, better eproms, the extensive use of stainless, etc etc
