For most companies the aim is produce a consistent stream of cars to maximise the press coverage. Whilst it is important (normally) to have a new car for Geneva every year I do wonder if the demand for the new CX means that bringing both models out now makes more sense in order to maximise the revenue from the chassis. If they have only released one it would seem a little odd.

I think it is brilliant that they have made this jump, if the price is right then it should open up the brand to a lot of people, in the meantime the price of trad new and old should be buoyant moving forwards for those who love the handling characteristics of it.
