I have already posted my positive thoughts about the new car elsewhere on TM.
I am tempted. I will take a test drive in due course and then will have a long hard think about whether or not to change.
At the moment I am tempted but also open minded. My expectation is that the car will blow me away in terms of comparative handling compared to my Roadster. I have tweeked the suspension on my Roadster to enhance it’s handling substantially, to the point where I am getting considerable enjoyment from driving the car and that fact (also expressed by others here) that it is a throwback to another age in terms of chassis and handling. Part of the thrill is not necessarily knowing if you are going to exit the bend or not!!! That’s where a certain amount of skill and knowing just what the limits on your car are.
The new Plus Four might take that excitement away. I used to own a Porsche Boxster which would just about go around any bend far faster than any other car due to it’s superb setup and balance aided, of course, by modern technology.
So, if anything, at this stage, I am 55/45 leaning towards a trade up to the new car, subject to a test drive and, of course, crunching the numbers depending on what my current car might be worth.
