My experience was through using Philip Bell of Morgan Insurance. the key things were power increase and overall value. If your mods for instance were giving a 4/4 the power of a Plus 8 then you could expect to pay Plus 8 rates. Bear in mind that for unlimted miles on an Aero I am only paying about £500. My old semi race Plus 8 (about 265 BHP) was still only about £400.
