For the sake of future reliability I would do the following in your shoes:
* Definitely consider replacing the fuel pump. Full instructions are available on the MTWC website.
* If you have the original Banner battery then replace it with an alternate brand. Check out the Alternative Parts List (also available via the MTWC website) for some suggested batteries.
Remember that both the fuel pump and the battery both work fine until they don't! You don't want to be stranded somewhere when that happens!
* If you're still running the original 2-bobbin exhaust system, start saving up to replace it. You are on borrowed time at 1300 miles!
* Put a puncture prevention fluid (such as OKO) in your rear tyre. Once again, if you do get a puncture you will likely be some distance from home and it will be a recovery job.
