So about to change a rear brake slave cylinder on my 2012 Plus 4. I think the existing one has been partially seized for some time, as the linings are too thin on that side for the 10k miles the car has done. So I have new EBC shoes to fit to both sides. The other side is fine but I shall do that one when I can get the another cylinder.
My question - is it worth doing the GoMog "filing down the adjuster" trick at the same time? Could I cause more hassle than its worth if they are fine without the adjustment?
I know the usual technique would be to do one thing at a time - but given i can't really drive the car to test it and i have time on my hands at the moment, it is tempting to take a belt and braces approach and do both at once.
I always get sound advice on here, so thoughts?
