Ah. Half way through reassembling the shoes and two issues. I've used EBC 6380 shoes as recommended. One issue is that the hole at the top of the leading shoe, which has a peg through it for the self adjusting mechanism, and is bigger that the originals by a mm or so - so the peg is a loose fit.
That's a concern. And the second issue is that the L shaped notches towards the bottom of both shoes are not present on the new shoes. These presumably allow room for the handbrake cable to bend towards the actuating lever. Are these essential?
The supplier has confirmed they are the correct shoes. Has anybody fitted EBC 6380 with success?
As it happens the original shoes are only half worn - so I think I shall put those back for now. Luckily it's a very easy job to fit them - NOT!
