Hmmm it might be because the headlight as a whole is not energized unless the headlight switch is turned ON.
May need to route an additional power line (unused seat heater relay?) to the headlight and this will provide power via ignition switch being ON?
Or will try to route the white wire of the OEM red and white turn signal wire set, to chassis ground location.
Think this may need to be buttoned up by an electrical expert. Was hoping this would be more plug and play with just matching the wires up but alas...
