Both commented VERY favourably. The general feeling was that the poor road nervousness had gone, the car felt much more planted and drove like a modern GT car, rather than an improved old Morgan. Cornering is also more predictable and although there is a slightly increased amount of roll this almost helps the car turn in.
The new PusSix isn't as good and neither is the PlusFour, although it is better than the Six

So, where does that leave me with Tarka? I have a great and comfortable, quick car. There is no chance of me changing it.
What else might I do?
Well, talking to a friend it seems it may be possible to fit a switchable silencer by-pass...so straight through from cat to tail pipe. I'll let him try it, but it could make the car sound...well, as a big V8 should.... evil

I dont believe that that is too difficult or even expensive - both Ferraris have had it, one from the factory. And the F type. You may well be able to get the valves from the Jag dealer at sensible prices - the Fezza ones are vacuum operated.

However, be careful. The set up on the current Ferrari is IMO way too loud for anything other than leaving a few friends in the restarant car park. Unuseable on the road not because its too noisy for the other road users but because its intolerable when driving. Its also more than a bit childish, or so my wife says.
