Just remember that the cleanliness of the fuel filter regulates the fuel pressure to the injectors. The dirtier it gets the lower the fuel pressure.
I think HalfFull was referring to the sock type filter on the pump, as that was the one that was suggested could be re-used in the guide. The main fuel filter canister has an integral fuel pressure regulator that maintains 58 psi at the injectors. It isn't the cleanliness or restriction of the filter that regulates the pressure at the injectors.
