Just remember that the cleanliness of the fuel filter regulates the fuel pressure to the injectors. The dirtier it gets the lower the fuel pressure.
I think HalfFull was referring to the sock type filter on the pump, as that was the one that was suggested could be re-used in the guide. The main fuel filter canister has an integral fuel pressure regulator that maintains 58 psi at the injectors. It isn't the cleanliness or restriction of the filter that regulates the pressure at the injectors.
Yes, in this part of my response I was referring to the filter attached to the fuel pump. From the photos, it isn’t obvious that the new 90 degree angle filter that came with the installation kit would allow the assembly of the standoff unit. I may be wrong; I will find out when I do the job.
