I am not a mechanic in any way, shape, or form. Without the instructions at the beginning of this post, I would have been hard-pressed to tackle this project. But thank you to all who contribute here...I was able to do this today. Having been broken down 2 years ago with a dead pump— with warranty repair— I figured I would do preventive duty before getting stranded again. Not even a check engine light! I will say the hardest parts were: 1) not realizing that it is paramount to loosen the fuel filter canister in order to remove the forward-most fuel line from the pump assembly, and 2) dealing with the darn black plastic cover without breaking it. Once those tasks are done, the rest is quite simple. Thanks to you all!
