There are a number of Southampton based massive cruise ships moored off Portland, busily going nowhere, but burning diesel as they keep all the lights on.
I'm in total agreement with DaveW, common. sense says "keep away from any form of crowds". I do, but then I always have.
I am saddened, but not surprised, that the Government Scientists haven't come to the conclusion that the more people you test, the more positive cases you find. I'm certain that the lockdown in Manchester and the NW is mainly down to increased testing and if, for example, Nottingham, Bristol or Southampton was subject to the same level of testing they would also be subject to lockdown. COVID 19 is circulating in the community, the vast majority of cases are asymptomatic, with other people who are not seriously ill. There are very few new serious illnesses, there are now more people in Salisbury District Hospital with other serious illnesses than with COVID. Actually the last report I saw said SDH had no COVID patients.
