I started again this morning, torqued it and eased it back and found the missing hole at 12 / 6 O' Clock !!

I searched for it yesterday with no sucess and convinced myself there wasn't one, this morning I found it straight away hide

ROFL All part of life’s learning curve. I passed my apprenticeship and C&G etc a lifetime ago and STILL learn so nothing to worry about. The taper collar you type of was across most of the BL (and others) FWD range. It’s a long time ago but it helps having been an Austin Morris product training Instructor for 5 years at BL ;-).
