I have the bolt in “A” frame, I’d always associated continued cracking problems with the original simple bolt in cross piece not the “A” frame?
I had the same on my car - bolt-in crossmember first, replaced by bolt-in A-Frame f.o.c by dealer at some future service. Cracks still appeared in both places mentioned above, requiring chassis change. Suspect that these different bracing methods just moved the problem somewhere else unfortunately.
