Yes I agree that would include a lot of Morgan owners with that threshold but if it is directed to the people that really need the added income in particular the children I view that as a good thing.
If additional tax on my pensions is the way so be it, us baby boomers can afford it even if many may resent it.
Indeed, and if one doesn't like the idea of the government directing where one's money is spent one is always free to make tax-deductible charitable donations oneself.
I'm quite keen on supporting local charitable causes, but I'm not quite in the same league as MacKenzie Scott, who has so far given away $6Bn (10% of the £60Bn she got from Bezos) this year. Wowser.
