There is no industry here anymore to keep people in jobs, most of it is farmed out to Asia. No jobs, no money, no money no food poor areas get poorer. Its not rocket science.

Bring as much industry as poss back here and things would change. But, Noooooo, people want to pay sweet FA for badly made crap so things wont change.


From what I saw in my career, I would say that poor strategic thinking from Boards of Directors, incompetent middle management, asset stripping by 'investors', and short-term profit pressure from shareholders are all significant factors too. But yes, people are too prepared to buy crap without questioning where and how it was produced.


My mini rant is a simplified observation. I know its a lot more complex than just bringing jobs back here, however, people cant just blame the tories. Asking big tech and few super wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes wont solve the issue alone.
