Talking to local Costa Manager today. Yesterday she said to a woman “oh you have a lot of shopping” yes we had to come here to do our shopping as we are from Braintree & so shops are shut. (Tier 4) But says manager we are tier 2 & you have come from a tier 4. “Yes.” Ok I will do you a take away only. Result a stream of verbal abuse. Manager stood her ground & threatened the police. Well done I say. We are in this position thanks to the idiots not taking heed or not understanding the obvious.
Oh well a walk around the village this evening delivering cards revealed that the covidiots have arrived as all the empty houses now are lit tonight and the car registration plates with dealers and or postcodes on confirm them mostly to be from tier4, darwin rules lets just hope the elderly of the village don't suffer as a result of their crass selfishness.
Doubtless when Doris puts the whole country into tier4 they will congratulate themselves..
I hope you have taken all the registrations and reported them to the Police?
If not why not? if people wish to disregard everyone else's health, I say stuff the lot of them.
If it were down to me I would have enrolled the use of ANPR to catch the selfish gits in the act of travelling out of their region and issue £2500 fines, it may make people think, then have to come up with essential travel reasons to get the fine squashed.
I'm not a copper and don't see the point in doing their job for them or the Government, we already pay a lot into those pots and I'm not a snitch and as I see it it is up to their immediate neighbours to report them if they see fit to do so by way of feeling threatened. Everyone knows who resides full time in a village of our size and will act accordingly.
It would have been simple to set up ANPR on the county lines but that's far too logical isn't it.
We currently have 1,600 NHS staff off in our region due to illness Covid etc, so although we have the facilities we don't have the skilled workforce to run them at present.
