According to NHS data quoted by the Telegraph,more than twice as many under 60s died in road crashes as those under 60 without underlying health issues... 955 under 60s died on the roads, 438 died from COVID.
Who seriously considers that they will die in a car accident?
Who locks themselves away because they may die in a RTA?
Looking at all deaths in 2020, up to December 23rd, 45,770 died with underlying health conditions and only 1,979 were viewed as "previously healthy".
Of the 1,979 just 388 were between 40 and 59, 44 between 20 and 39 and only 6 were younger than 19.
Why are we so panicked?
Another question: there is a proposal to test all school kids before they go back to school. Why not just vaccinate them and the teachers and they they can back on with life.
Yes, we need social distancing, face masks and hand washing, at risk people should manage their own risk and shelter as needed, but the closing down of business and society is not justified, in my view. NHS management is becoming the tail that is wagging the Government dog, it seems to me.
