If you want to support your local food shops, why not give them a call and see if they do deliveries .
Some have started to get behind this idea and the money you would save firing up the car or parking charges etc could be offered for a small delivery contribution.
Only really works for shops with regular local customers who know what they stock but at least you could get your favourites and hopefully help to keep the local shops open.
All very well ordering from online shops but think of the added food miles.
