Our local farm shop / butchers is 250 yards from our house. We order once a month for the freezer to reduce the number of visits and I can easily walk round to collect our order. As you walk in, they list the breeds of current stock and identify which farm it has come from. All their beef and lamb is always their own. Sometimes the pork is their own and sometimes from a farm in the Vale of Belvoir.

In Loughborough, we have a wonderful wine merchant who delivers to local villages. I once price checked him and he was within 50p of Majestic. Now I don't check. His business used to be mainly to local restaurants and he needs the trade.
