Me too. Don't tell her but when we returned to Holland from Kenya in Feb 96 it was for my thinned blood freezing to cold to fettle my bike outside (Nairobbery is at 5000 ft & we had been there 18 months). I had my beloved Guzzi Le Mans MkIII in the kitchen of our new house to bring it back to life (battery , fuel, change fluids etc etc) after our goods left in storage were delivered (the Kenyan house was a company let & furnished). One small problem with the wing mirrors on the full race Stucchi fairing it wouldn't go down the hallway.
Anyway she arrived from the inlaws in the UK none the wiser after the furniture arrived a few weeks later together with my RE 350 Bullet I bought in Kenya with 6V lights etc.
