As one of the alpha testers (delivery April 2012), we have had our share of troubles (all the ones well documented elsewhere) but thus far (silly thing to say) have always got home inc from several long trips in France/Spain. Suspect that a combination of some empathy with things mechanical, a can-do DIY attitude + suitable spares pack plus regular/wide reading/sharing of the advice in this forum will see you through.
No regrets at all but we are fortunate that we are in the position where we can afford this rather expensive/demanding toy...not sure we would do it again at today's sticker price as that feels quite a bit higher than alternative toys compared with when we placed our order and paid a deposit on what was then a concept ... this was on Sat 4th Dec 2010!
