On my third bevel box. First one replaced because of excessive noise. Second came from the factory with one of the mounting holes stripped out. It even had a note written on the box in marker which said "stripped out" (with an arrow pointing to the mounting hole). Third box has been quiet.

Replaced the seal on the third box because it was leaking
Found the the orange "vent" on the side of the box was plugged. It is a two piece affair that is glued together. In my case, they used too much glue and plugged the vent.

Installed Phil's bevel box mount. This helps hold the bevel box in place. Also make it easier to center the belt and keep it in place.

Had a spacer made to move the rear sprocket to the left a bit. In the stock configuration, if the belt rode to the right side of the sprocket, it could touch the sidewall of the tire and chew it up.

If the belt rides too far to the left and puts pressure on the aluminum flange, it will work harden and break off. This will result in a pleasant bell like sound as the parts hit the highway.

Had some new flanges made of steel, thicker than the aluminum ones.

Replaced a rear tire that had the sidewall chewed up.

Replaced the gas gauge sensor with the longer one to try and improve the accuracy of the gas gauge.

Recalibrated the speedometer

Plan on replacing both the fuel pump and rectifier before summer.

Other than the above, it has been problem free.


All this on a low milage 2016 "new' version......
