Well ..... I injected some expanding foam into the void at the back of the sidescreenpadding - be careful — it expands hugely - I taped the back of the pad and left a gap just enough for the tube to fit in so when it expanded it didn’t come back out in a blob —- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! I then gently sprayed the edge of the foam with satin black paint( my upholstery is black) if yours is a different colour you have the challenge to get a spray can of the necessary paint colour to sort it or get foam of the matching colour. I could only get the standard off white so needed to paint the edge.
This mostly solves the gale issue but there is still a draught at the back of the door which requires a wedge of neoprene foam placed on the door ope so that it fills the space at the back of the door when closed. This then sorts it!!!
I still wish I didn’t have the roof with the flap, but apparently it can’t be changed so I have put a strip of Velcro on it which mates with a strip on the front of the windscreen pillar. This stops the flap flying out and rain coming in. It does mean you have to open the window when the door is closed to attach the Velcro!!
All good fun!!!
Cheers,
