I`ve got both the Mog and the Fiesta with AutoSeal in the tyres - it`s water based so does not mess up the tyre when changed and will permanently seal a puncture on the tread area up to 1 cm. Doesn`t seem to alter the handling. It seals the puncture with Kevlar or similar fibres. Google them for info. If you are MSCC member you get discount.

I've used something very similar on our Yamaha quad bike. Fixed the tyre twice, after being punctured by large nails.
