My clutch has oft times been found to be stuck, due to lack of use, sigh ! Just a case of warming the engine then jacking the rear wheels free of the deck, starting the engine in gear, and using the brakes to break the bond betwixt driven plate and the polished faces of the flywheel/pressure plate.. using a bit of heel and toe. Marginally brutal but a tad easier than removing the engine to get in amongst things..? Once freed off I polish the faces by slipping the clutch just a little... Works every time. So far..(-:
I appreciate that this may not be related to your issue K, but just thought to throw it in to the mix lest it might be the issue for some reading this thread.
