Gosh - you must be right posh, I don’t recall any door seals on my 21MY car!!! Are you talking about the rubber strip near the back the door which waves forlornly about an inch away (in front of) the door frame? I shall have to check now…
Aside from when the roof is down (meaning you end up with more rain on the back of the head rather than the front), I haven’t noticed any coming in with the blast of cold air by the elbow…I do get plenty coming in under the roof seal above the drivers side sun visor and plenty from above by the door roof flap at the front near the join with the windscreen (I think the rain is channeled there by the design at the side/top of the windscreen)…of course being posh I realise you don’t bother with roof flaps on your version. I shall pay more attention to the elbow area next time I’m out in the rain!!!!
Ps v big welcome to TM
Just checked and I too must be posh coz I have seals on the door itself. How exciting! They do seem to just contact the frame…it was the loose rubber strip along the back of the sidescreens which merely threatens to come near the car and leaves a large gap. Unfortunately I don’t reckon neoprene would work as there is a triangle shaped gap/hole between door frame and sidescreen so will have to give thought how to cover that up and stop the typhoon that comes through it…
Best wishes
